Elisa M. Welch

Composer, arranger, singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Elisa M. Welch has been deeply involved in music since she was a child. Her love affair with the music of Scott Joplin began when she first heard his compositions featured on the soundtrack of the hit film The Sting. She earned her bachelor of music degree in theory and composition at Boston University, and spent several years playing Irish traditional music with fiddlers Seamus Connolly and Larry Reynolds. She now performs in a variety of musical styles and configurations throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including the San Francisco International Dance Festival and Concerts at the Cadillac.
